Nature connection and it's power to heal
This session reveals the science behind why time in nature is essential, not just enjoyable.

In this masterclass we explain the amazing changes that nature has on our brains, our immune system, our emotions, and our behaviour. There is now a lot of evidence to show how the smell, sight and sounds of nature trigger a deep response in our brains to say that we are safe and so we move away from fight and flight and into parasympathetic mode. This means our blood pressure falls, heart rate drops, and we are more welcoming and feel less threatened by other people. Our brain even changes shape and parts that deal with working memory increase in size with stronger neural connections made.
